I can't believe that what I feel is really happening to me Children and dogs. Do they mix? Is having a dog in the family a suitable environment for raising a child? Is having a dog before a newborn any different than having a newborn with a toddler already present? Would people start to care more for the child than they would the dog? Why wouldn't having pets to take care of and nurture be the same as having children to take care of and nurture? Sure, pets don't live as long, but they are cheaper (depending). I thought that many people looked at their pets as their children also. So why isn't a dog enough? How do people know how many children they want to have? When do parents know when x kids is enough? Some families have 2 kids while some have way more. How do parents know when to stop? And how do they know when to have another kid? How do you know "when the time is right"? How do you know when your family is big enough? Random questions like these have been floating around in my head. I wish I could find some answers. Things like "when the time is right" or "you'll just know" don't bring me much security. Not including those random talk show people who are like 17 years old and have no support for their 6 kids or whatever. *stupid link of the day* Snopes.com: Urban Legend Reference Page: ever wanted to know whether any of those stupid e-mail petitions were real?
