I can't believe that what I feel is really happening to me Thanks for the inspiration for the post goes out to May*Star. Today's topic: girls & boys. Here is what May had to say on that: "Why are girls attracted to jerks? everyone always wonders that. what are the girls, crazy?! but no, they aren't...it all makes sense now...as a friend pointed out, girls are attracted to jerks because when guys are NICE to them, and so then they feel obligated and things. they feel bad when people are nice to them, they feel bad when people give them things, they feel bad when they are treated how they want to be treated. because they feel like the guys will think they are being used, or because they feel like they need to give so much back, and it just drives the girl into a state of worry and confusion, causing them to run away, and settle for someone that isn't so sweet. someone they can kick. i don't know. something like that." It makes sense to me, May. Girls seem to want every relationship to run smoothly (who doesn't?) and they don't want their partner to feel like he/she is missing out in any way. So, if they keep accepting the partner's gifts and compliments, they will constantly worry about accepting too much. The problem is that you have to keep accepting all that stuff too cuz no one likes to be rejected in any way. How much is too much when it comes to taking? How much is too much when it comes to giving? Is there ever a proper amount? Of course, there are people who take & take & take, never giving back. Those would be the player/goldigger-type of people and no one wants to date them. But, when it comes to a normal relationship, where do you draw the line between giving and receiving? I would never want someone to think that I am using them, but it becomes a bit tricky when they never want you to buy things for them and they get rather upset when you tell them you don't want them buying stuff for you either and then they say that they want to. Oh, it's a vicious circle. I wish more people read this cuz then I could get some comments going. Damn dating and damn relationships! ha ha ha ha *stupid link of the day* Crazy Limos: now how many celebrities would wanna drive around town in one of these puppies?
